What GlassKnight provides

GlassKnight is a chess learning tool. It includes Live Coach, Game Review and highlights, Dashboard statistics, Chess Lab, and Puzzles. Features and usage limits depend on your plan and the supported version of the app.

Analysis runs on your device. Sign-in, private backups, plan authorization, and some voice features need an internet connection. Offline access depends on what is already saved locally. Chess evaluations, board recognition, explanations, and practice recommendations can be incomplete or wrong; improvement and particular results are not guaranteed.

Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep access to your email and sign-in provider secure, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share or resell account access.

You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age required for the service where you live. If you are below the age of legal adulthood, a parent or legal guardian must review these terms and permit your use. You must have legal authority to accept these terms.

Fair play comes first

Use live assistance only in computer games or other settings where the platform and participants expressly allow it. Do not use Live Coach or engine advice during a game against a human opponent unless that assistance is explicitly permitted. Use Game Review after the game instead.

You are responsible for following the rules of your chess platform, event, school, or club. GlassKnight is independent of Chess.com and Lichess and does not grant an exception to their fair-play rules.

Using the service responsibly

You may use the app for your own chess learning, subject to these terms. Do not use it to break the law, infringe someone’s rights, submit harmful content, access another person’s data, bypass account or usage protections, or disrupt the service.

Only import games, board images, and other material you have the right to use. Accessing third-party platforms remains subject to their terms. Do not misrepresent generated explanations as a guaranteed or official judgment.

Your games and saved work

You retain any rights you have in material you import or create. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit it only as needed to provide the service, private backups, support you request, and the uses described in our Privacy Policy.

Saved games and learning records are private to your account, rather than published to a community feed. Local-only Chess Lab setups and standalone Puzzles data may not be restored on another device. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

GlassKnight’s software, branding, and original content remain owned by us or our licensors. Third-party engines, models, and puzzle datasets retain their own licenses; these terms do not remove rights granted by those licenses.

Plans and payments

Starter is the free plan. Plus and Pro are paid subscriptions. The pricing page describes the current features and allowances.

Stripe processes payments and subscription billing. Checkout shows the price, currency, billing interval, taxes, renewal terms, and any trial conditions before you buy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the price and billing interval shown at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.

Usage allowances are tied to your account and reset for the period shown in the app. Unused allowances do not roll over unless your offer says otherwise. Deleting a game or reinstalling the app does not reset usage.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel renewal through your account’s billing controls, which open Stripe’s billing portal. You can also contact legal@glassknight.io for billing help. Cancellation stops future renewals; paid access normally continues until the end of the paid period.

Refund and withdrawal requests are subject to applicable consumer law and any additional terms clearly presented before purchase. Contact us with the account email and payment reference so we can review a request. These terms do not remove any statutory cancellation or refund rights.

Deleting the app or signing out does not cancel a subscription. We will give any legally required notice of price or renewal changes before they take effect.

Changes, availability, and account closure

We may update the app, change features, or interrupt access for maintenance or security. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid access where required. A change that materially reduces a paid service will not override your applicable consumer remedies.

We may restrict or suspend access for a material breach, unlawful use, nonpayment, or a security risk. Where practical, we will explain the reason and provide a way to resolve it; urgent protective action may happen first.

You can stop using GlassKnight at any time. To request account deletion or a copy of your account data, contact us. We may need to resolve an active subscription and legally retained billing records before completing deletion. The Privacy Policy explains retention and local copies.

Our responsibility to you

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free analysis, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for a third-party platform’s decisions about your account or fair-play violations.

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, and business losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights remain in place.

Applicable law and updates

California law governs these terms, except where mandatory law where you live provides otherwise. This does not take away consumer protections or the right to bring a claim in a court available to you under applicable law. You can contact us to try to resolve a concern, without giving up those rights.

We will update the date above when these terms change and give notice of material changes through the app or account email before they take effect, as required by law. We will obtain fresh agreement where required. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply.
